Artist Details:Born Grahame Hall the son of the painter Oliver Hall RA. he assumed the name Claude Muncaster in 1923 to help him acquire artistic independence from his father. Painter in oils, water-colour and etcher of at least 30 plates half of which were of shipping subjects. He was an author of books mainly about ships but also illustrated at least one book "Bird of Dawning" by John Masefield in 1933. Exhibited at the RA. from 1920 and many of his works are held in gallery's around the world including the Tate Gallery and the British Museum.
