Artist Details:Tony Minartz was the pseudonym of Antoine Guillaume who was born in Cannes in either 1870 or 1873. He first exhibited paintings at the Salon of the National Society of the Fine Arts in 1896. He was taught etching by the painter Paul Renouard. He contributed etchings to journals such as La Revue de L'Art Ancient et Moderne and illustrations to Gil Blas and L'Assiette au Beurre among others. Exhibited Gallery Bartholomew, 1903 and Gallery Devambez in 1909. Died in Cannes in 1944.
